Description
Tithing -
A
study of Deuteronomy 26, the definitive chapter in the
Bible on "how to" present the Lord's tithe. Also studied
are the correct uses of the Lord's tithe and the correct
reasons for tithing. This
course of study covers Biblical instruction on all
aspects of tithing to the Lord and will change your
perspective and your life!
The LORD God Almighty
established tithing, it is not an invention of man.
Tithing occurred in the first family created by God.
Able gave his firstfruits willingly. Abraham tithed to
Melchizadek (Gen. 14:17-20), and Jacob (Gen. 28:20-22)
tithed nearly four hundred years before Moses wrote the
command to do so. God does not change! This
includes His principle of tithing. There is no such
argument that tithing is under Old Testament law and not
under New Testament grace. Proverbs 3:9-10 says,
"Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits
of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to
overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new
wine." Subjects covered include:

Quarter Five
Description
Halacha
(Walking With God) -
A study of what it means to "walk
with God." This study leads the Believer into a
"lifestyle" of being obedient to God and recognizing His
Presence. The lessons deal with what "pleases" the
LORD and what is required by Him in your daily walk.
"Walking with God" has been God's purpose for his people
from creation. This walk was lost at the fall of
man (Gen. 3:8) and restored by our Messiah (Acts 3:21).
Walking with God is not an addendum to Christianity or
Judaism, but is superior to both. It is so
superior that the call to walk with Jesus (Matt 4:18-20)
was an opportunity so promising that the disciples
instantly made a radical change in their lives.
God wants that for each and every one of us!
Subjects include:
What is Walking with God?, Bar/Bat Mitzvah,
Jesus' Bar Mitzvah, Jesus' Walk with God,
Enoch's Walk with God, Abraham's Walk with God,
Jacob's Walk with God, Teshuvah
(Repentance), D'vekut
(Cleaving to God), Kavvanah
(Focusing on God), Kashrut
(What Pleases God), Law Versus Grace,
and Led by the Spirit.
You will never be the same!

Covenants & Feasts of the LORD
-
A study of the covenants God made
with man as confirmation of just one covenant and the
Feasts of the LORD as signs of His covenant.
Subjects include: Abraham,
Noah, Jeremiah
31:31 -34, Erusin,
Nissu'in & Hosea 2:18-20,
Davidic Covenant, Passover,
Feast of Unleavened Bread,
Feast of First Fruits, (Pentecost is Covered in Quarter 7),
Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement,
and Feast of Tabernacles.
COVENANT from the root "barah, so
called from the idea of cutting since it was the custom
in making solemn covenants to pass between the divided
parts of animals. This word is used of a covenant
entered into between nations, between individuals and
friends, and marriage. It is also used of a
covenant entered into by God and nations and
individuals. In any covenant relationship, the
stronger partner in the covenant is responsible for
setting the terms of the covenant agreement. The
covenant is considered to be inviolable and irrevocable.
Once covenant has been entered into, there are specific
responsibilities of each participant and it is the
responsibility of the weaker partner in covenant to do
the will of the stronger. This study covers God's
covenant with his people from the beginning of history
to present day and future. |
